Utkarsh Verma ‘Madhur’, Socialist politician and current member of Lok Sabha of the Parliament of India was born in the farming family of Dhirendra Kumar Verma in Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh in 1985. He finished his schooling at the government schools of his hometown. Utkarsh Verma attended ITS-IM Greater Noida and earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Management. He was brought up in his village by his mother Kusum Verma with his siblings. After finishing his schooling he started farming with his father and joined the Samajwadi Party.

Madhur started attending the general political meetings of the Samajwadi party in the local area of his village. Soon He Got the attention of the local SP politician. His presence and political understanding gave him a boost to enhance his political career. District Political leaders of the Samajwadi party promoted him to the responsible posts of the party at the district level. Utkarsh Verma was introduced as the candidate of the 15th Legislative Assembly bi-poll 2012 from his local constituency Lakhimpur of Uttar Pradesh. He won the election and joined the state assembly.
