Chh. Udayanraje Pratapsinha Maharaj Bhonsle is a famous Indian politician and active member of the Bhartiya Janta Party since 2019. He has been serving as the Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha representing the Maharashtra Constituency since 3 April 2020. He is one of the senior leaders of the BJP Mharatsra Party. Udayanraje Bhosale has served in the various key positions of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly.

He is the 17th holder of the title of Chhatrapati which was founded by the Maratha king, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj (Member of the Bhonsle dynasty) on his coronation in 1674. Some in the media address him as Chhatrapati, though the title is purely ceremonial and a pretentious one. Shri Udayanraje Bhosale has also served in the Lower House of Parliament and Legislative Assembly of Maharashtra.

Chhatrapati Udayanraje Bhonsle was a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from 05 June 1998 to 07 October 1999, representing the Satara Constituency. He also served as the Minister for Revenue of Maharashtra in the Sena-BJP Maharashtra government. In the 2009, 2014, and 2019 parliamentary elections Udayanraje Bhonsle was elected to the Lok Sabha as a Nationalist Congress Party candidate from Satara constituency.
