Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, a Politician from West Bengal State India is serving as a member of the Parliament of India. He was contested a second time as the representative of the Bhartiya Janta Party from Balurghat, Lok Sabha Constituency. He defeated the All India Trinamool Congress candidate by a huge margin. Sukanta Majumdar was first contested in state politics as the candidate for the general election in 2019. Sukanta was born in the family of Sushanta Kumar Majumdar and Nibedita Majumdar in Balurghat Town in 1979, After completing his schooling, he moved to Siliguri for higher education. Dr Sukanta completed his master’s degree of science in Botany and PhD and Bachelor of Education. He is a teacher by profession.
