Shri Samik Bhattacharya, an Indian politician from West Bengal state is serving his first term as a member of the Parliament in the Rajya Sabha. He was fielded by the Bhartiya Janta Party in the Rajya Sabha Elections in April 2024. Samik Bhattacharya won the contest and joined the Upper House of the Parliament as a member on the 4th of April 2024 after taking the oath. He had earlier served as a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly for two years.

Samik was born in the Bengali family of Sailes Bhattacharya and Smt. Rubi Bhattacharya in 1963 in Guwahati, Assam. He finished his schooling in Guwahati moved to Kolkata and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kolkata University. Samik Bhattacharya was inclined toward politics in his college years.

He lives in New Delhi as a member of the parliament.
