Sjada Ahemad wife of renowned Bengali politician Sultan Ahemad was born in the Uluberia district of West Bengal in 1962. She contested in the general election of 2024 as the All India Trinamool Congress Party candidate. Her husband died in 2017 of cardiac arrest. Her husband Sultan Ahmad was the senior leader of the Indian National Congress Party. He served as a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly in 1987 for the first time. Ahmad was the key member of the formation of the AITMC party with Mamata Banerjee.

Her husband first introduced Sajda Ahmed as the candidate of the All India Trinamool Congress party from the Ulubaria constituency of Lok Sabha of the parliament. She secured the MP seat by defeating the opposition candidate with a huge margin of votes. She defeated the BJP candidate by a margin of more than 4 lakh votes and entered the lower house of the parliament. Sajda again contested from the same seat in the general election in 2019 and again won the seat of the constituency. She now lives with his children in Ulluberia city. Sajada Ahemed also lives in his Central Government allotted home and office in Tilak Lane New Delhi.

Currently, Sajda Ahmed and her two sons are living in Kolkata city of West Bengal state.
