S. Supongmeren Jamir is a well-known politician from Nagaland. He is serving as a Member of  Parliament in the 18th Lok Sabha and represents the Nagaland Lok Sabha Constituency. Jamir was born into the family of Shilumangyang Jamir and Alemsola Jamir in Longsa village in Nagaland on 25 March 1963. He earns a BA LLB degree from Mokokchung Law College. Shri S. Supongmeren is a lawyer by profession and previously served as the MLA of the Assam State Assembly.
