Rao Narbir Singh, a senior politician of Haryana state and current minister of Public Health Engineering, Minister of Forest, and minister of Agriculture in Nayab Singh Saini’s government of Haryana was born in Gurgaon (Now Gurugram) in 1961. His father was in politics and was a member of the Punjab state assembly before the independence of India. He finished his schooling and joined politics with his father at an early age. Narbir Singh Rao inherited social service from his father Mohar Singh Yadav. He entered politics at an early age and joined the LOK Dal political party in the 1980s.
He first contested in the direct election in state politics as the candidate of Lok Dal from the Jatusana constituency in 1987. Narbir Singh won the election and served as the Home Minister of the Haryana state government at the age of 26 years. His record of serving as the home minister at the age of 26 years is unbeaten till now. Rao Narbir started his political journey with the Lok Dal party. He contested in 1991 as the candidate of the Indian National Congress Party from the Salhawas constituency but he lost the election.
