Shri Ramprit Mandal is a prominent Indian politician from Bihar and currently serving as a Member of Parliament (Lower House) from Jhanjharpur Lok Sabha constituency. He was elected to Lok Sabha, representing the Janata Dal (United) party, by defeating the Suman Kumar Mahaseth, VIP candidate with over 1,84,169 votes. Ramprit was born in 1956 to Thakan Mandal and Domni Devi in Durgipatti, Madhubani, Bihar. He completed his Matriculation from Bihar School Education Board, Patna. Ramprit Mandal is an agriculturist by profession and associated with the JDU party for a long time. He is among one of the most reputed and senior leaders of JDU.

In the 2024 General Election, JDU also named him for contesting the election and he won by a huge margin.
