Shri Rajendra Gehlot, Senior Leader of Bharatiya Janta Party from Rajasthan state is serving his first term as a member of the Rajya Sabha of the Parliament of India since 2020. He was fielded as a contestant in the Rajya Sabha elections by the party in 2020. Earlier he also served as the Member of Rajasthan state assembly twice in his political career. He also held various responsible posts of the party in the Rajasthan state.

Rajendra Gehlot was born in Jodhpur city of the state in 1950. His family was involved in farming and he completed his schooling in Jodhpur. He was not interested in the study. Rajendra Gehlot dropped school and joined farming with his father Shri Balkishan Gehlot. During farming, he indulged in social service in his district at a young age.
