Shri R. Dharmar, an Indian politician from the Tamil Nadu state of India is serving his first term as a member of the Parliament of India. He contested in the 2022 Rajya Sabha polls of India from Tamilnadu state. He was elected as a member of an indirect electoral contest of the upper house of the Parliament of India. Dharmar was introduced as the candidate by the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) party. He was born in the family of Ramasamy Devar in 1970 in Puliyangudi, Ramanathapuram District of Tamil Nadu state. R. Dharmar was brought up By his mother Shrimati Koothaye and finished his education in his hometown. He moved to Harathiar University, Niligiris, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.
