Shri Naresh Bansal, a Prominent political face of the BJP with an RSS Background from Uttarakhand state is serving his first term as a member of the Upper House of the Parliament. He was fielded by the Bhartiya Janta Party as the contestant from Uttarakhand seat of Rajya Sabha in 2020. Naresh Bansal won the seat unopposedly and entered the parliament of India. He is one of the prominent Pracharak of RSS in the Uttarakhand state.

He was born in Dehradun in 1953 in the family of Shri Hukum Chand Bansal and Smt. Pano Devi. Naresh Bansal finished his schooling and earned an M.Com degree from DAV College Dehradun. He joined politics after he retired from the Bank. Earlier he was an active member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Naresh Bansal joined RSS at an early age and served as the Head of the Disaster Management panel of RSS for 20 years.

After retirement, Shri Naresh Bansal joined the Bhartiya Janta Party. Later, he was appointed as the Chairman of the Housing and Development Board, Government of Uttarakhand. He also served as the General Secretary of Uttarakhand BJP from 2002 to 2009. He is currently serving as a member of various parliamentary committees as a member of the Rajya Sabha. Naresh Bansal is currently living in New Delhi at BD Marg, Central Delhi as a member of Parliament (Upper House).
