Shri Murlidhar Kisan Mohol is a well-known India Politician from Maharashtra. He is serving as the Union Minister of State in the Government of India and Member of Parliament in the 18th Lok Sabha from the Pune constituency. Murlidhar Mohol was elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Pune in the 2024 Indian general election, by defeating the INC candidate Ravindra Dhangekar with a margin of majority 1,23,038 votes.
He was born to the Kisanrao Dagdoba Mohol and Rukmini Kisanrao Mohol in Mulshi taluka, Pune District on 09 November 1974. Murlidhar Mohol belongs to a family of wrestlers, he took up wrestling during his school years and pursued formal training in Kolhapur while continuing his education. He completed a Bachelor of Arts degree from Shivaji University. Young leader Murlidhar Mohol joined the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) at the age of 12th, laying the foundation for his political career.

After completing his education in 1996, Murlidhar Kisan Mohol was actively involved in politics with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He is rising through the ranks to become the chief of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) for Pune. In 2002, he was elected as a member of the Municipal Board of Education and also won the municipal by-election for the Kelewadi Ward in 2006. Mohol served as the Mayor of Pune from 2019 to 2022. After gaining popularity by services in Pune, he was elected as MP from the Pune constituency in the 18th Lok Sabha.
