Smt. Misha Bharti or Misa Bharti, Indian Politician and doctor by profession was born in the political family of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi in Patna in 1976. She is the youngest sister of nine siblings, 2 brothers and 6 sisters in the family of Lalu Prasad Yadav. All the brothers and sisters of the family were brought up together in Patna with her mother father and uncle. She finished her schooling and selected medicine as her further education in life as she wanted to become a doctor. She got selected in MGM Medical College of Jamshedpur of Jharkhand state. Although she entered the college with the help of a TISCO reserve seat. TISCO (Tata Iron & Steel Company) has a few major reserve seats every year in the MGM Medical College Jamshedpur.

After completion of her MBBS from the college with distinction in the final exams she started practicing in Patna. She got married to Shailesh Kumar in 1999. Shailesh Kumar is a Computer Engineer by profession. They both live in Patna and have three kids (two daughters and one son) in their family. She entered into the politics in 2014 general elections against the BJP Candidate Ram Kripal Yadav, but she lost the contest. Ram Kripal Yadav was a prominent and trusted leader of her father Lalu Prasad Yadav.
