Dr. Medha Vishram Kulkarni, a Politician from Maharashtra state is now serving her first term as a member of the upper house of the Parliament of India. She was introduced in the Rajya Sabha election 2024 as the candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party from Mumbai state. Her political career started as the corporator of Pune Municipality in 2002. Dr. Megha Kulkarni also served in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly in 2014.

She was born in the family of Dr. Madhukar Gurunath Patankar in Pune in 1969. His father was a medical practitioner in the city and the other was house maker. She was brought up in the city and earned his Ph. D degree from Abasaheb Garware College, Pune. Dr. Megha Kulkarni was inclined into politics from a young age. She joined the BJP and contested in Local body elections in 2002.

Dr. Megha won her first corporator election at Pune Municipal Corporation in 2002 and consecutively won the next two elections. In 2014 she was promoted as the candidate of the State assembly elections 2014 from Kothrud constituency. She won the election defeating Shiv Sena candidate Chandrakant Mokate. Now Dr Medha Kulkarni lives in New Delhi at his official residence as a member of Parliament.
