Mausam Noor, Sitting Member of Upper House of Indian Parliament was born in 1979 in Malda city of West Bengal State of India. She started her political career just after her mother died in 2008. Her mother was a member of the West Bengal State Assembly as the candidate of the Indian National Congress. She was introduced by the Indian National Congress party from the vacant seat of Sujapur constituency as the constituency was vacant after the death of her mother.

Smt. Mausam Benazir Noor was born to a political family of ABA Gani Khan Chowdhary. His father was a politician and served as the railway minister in the Indira Gandhi government. She has done her schooling in Malda city and completed his Graduation in Law from Calcutta University. She started her professional career as a lawyer at the Supreme Court of India. After she entered state politics, Masuam Noor was the president of the Youth Congress of West Bengal. She was a member of the Indian National Congress Party till 2019. Mausam Noor joined the All India Trinamool Congress party after her resignation. In 2020 Mamata Banerjee Nominated her as the candidate of Rajya Sabha of her party from West Bengal state. She currently living in Delhi as a Rajya Sabha MP. Mausam Noor was married to Mirza Kayesh Begg in 2008 and has 2 children. She lives in Malda with her family.
