Manas Ranjan Mangaraj, a young politician of Odisha state is currently serving his first term as a member of the Rajya Sabha. He won the unopposed Rajya Sabha elections in the 2022 Rajya Sabha polls as the candidate of Biju Janta Dal. Manas Mangaraj joined the Biju Janta Dal in 2018 after resigning from the Indian National Congress party. He started his political journey as a member of the Indian National Congress party in 2007.

He is one of the favorite faces of the Chilka city youth voters. Manas Mangaraj was born in 1971 in Cuttack City. His father Nrusingh Charan Mangaraj & Sradhanjali Mangaraj comes from a simple farming family in the state. Manas was brought up in his hometown and completed his B.Sc degree in Botany from Berhampur University. He was interested in politics from his college time. Later, Shri Manas Mangaraj joined the Indian National Congress Party.

Manas also served as the Media advisor of the Odisha government under chief minister Biju Patnaik.
