Mahua Moitra, young and one of the most firebrand politicians in Indian politics and serving her second term as a member of the lower house of the parliament was born in 1974 in Assam District. An investment banker by profession and ex-VP of JP Morgan Chase joined politics after coming back to India in 2009 as a member of the Indian National Congress party. She left INC and joined the Trinamool Congress party with Mamata Banerjee. She was first introduced as the candidate of the Karimpur assembly constituency in 2016.
