Shri Mahendra Bhatt is an Indian Politician and Former MLA of the Uttarakhand Assembly. He is currently serving as a Member of Parliament in Rajya Sabha. Mahendra Bhatt represents the Uttarakhand Constituency in Rajya Sabha, the upper house of parliament as the Bharatiya Janta Party candidate. He became MP Preceded by Anil Baluni. He was born to Purushottam Bhatt and Rajeshwari Devi in Brahmanthala, Dist. Chamoli, Uttarakhand on 04, Aug, 1971. Mahendra Bhatt obtained a degree in M.Com From Ra. Maha. V. Rishikesh, JNB Garhwal Vidhyalaya Shrinagar in 1993. He is a politician and Social Worker by profession. He was active in politics during his college days and also participated in the Student Union election.

Mahendra Bhatt started his official political journey by joining the BJP, working for the party campaigns, and holding various key positions in the State. Then, he was named for Uttrakhand Assembly Elections many times. He served as the two-time MLA in Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly by representing the Badrinath constituency, from 2002 to 2007 and 2017 to 2022. Shri Mahendra Bhatt was also appointed as President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Uttarakhand on 29 July 2022.
