Shri Kripanath Mallah is a prominent Indian politician from Assam. He has been serving as a Member of parliament in Lok Sabha since 2019. Mallah was elected to the 18th Lok Sabha from Karimganj Lok Constituency, by defeating the INC candidate, Hafiz Rashid Ahmed Choudhury with the majority of 18,360 votes. He was born on 15 October 1973 to a Mallah cast family of Krishna Mohan Mallah and Maya Rani Mallah in Bidyanagar, Karimganj, Assam. Kripanath Mallah completed a B.Sc from Karimganj College, Assam University. He debuted his political journey by participating in the Goan panchayat and becoming the Goan panchayat president. Later, Kripanath climbed to the position of MLA dan member of Lok sabha and parliament.

Kripanath Mallah was elected from the Ratabari constituency in the 2011 and 2016 Assam Assembly elections. He served as the MLA from 2003 to 2006, from 2011 to 2015, and then from 2016 to 2019. In 2019, he was elected to the 17th Lok Sabha and again to the 18th Lok Sabha. Shri Kripanath Mallah was also appointed as the Deputy Speaker Assam Legislative Assembly from 2018 to 2019. Previously, he was a member of the Indian National Congress from Ratabari constituency in 2011.
