Kiran Samant Alias Bhaiyya Samant, senior politician and brother of former cabinet Minister Uday Samant is serving his first term as a member of the Maharashtra Vidhan Sabha from Rajapur constituency. He contested in the general assembly election 2024 as the candidate of Shiv Sena. In his first electoral contest, he defeated Rajan Prabhakar Salvi of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) by the margin of nineteen thousand votes. He earneda of eighty thousand two hundred and fifty-six votes in the contest.

He was born in Ratnagiri and completed his engineering degree from Bangalore. Kiran Samant started politics with his own business. He is a known builder of the Ratnagiri district. Shri Kiran Samant joined Shiv Sena with his brother Uday and was involved in social activities in the district with him. He soon got to contest in the state assembly election as the Shiv Sena and NDA candidate.
