Kalyan Banerjee is an Indian politician serving his fourth term as a member of the parliament in the 18th Lok Sabha. He is professionally a senior advocate of the Supreme Court of Indiana and a member of the bar council of the Calcutta High Court. Kalyan joined politics with his Law profession and became a member of the Trinamool Congress Party. He currently serves as the representative of the Sreerampur constituency in the lower house of the Parliament. Kalyan Banerjee is a member of the joint parliamentary committee on the Waqf Board 2024

He was born in Asansol, Kolkata city in the Bengali family of Bholanath Banerjee and Shibani Banerjee in 1957. Kalyan Banerjee was brought up by his mother with his siblings and completed his schooling in Kolkata City. He finished his Graduation from Ranchi University and LLB from the same university. After finishing his education, Shri Kalyan Banerjee started practicing in Calcutta High Court.
