Smt. Jyotsna Charandas Mahant, Senior congress leader from Chhattisgarh state is serving her second term as the member of the parliament of India. She was fielded second time as the candidate of the Indian National Congress Party and INDIA Alliance in the general election 2024 from the Korba constituency of Chhattisgarh state. Jyotsna Charandas Mahant won her second electoral contest against BJP Saroj Pandey. She defeated Saroj Pandey by a margin of more than 40 thousand votes.

Jyotsna was born in Reva city of the state in the family of Shri Ramroop Singh & Smt. Leelawati Singh in 1953. She was brought up by her mother with her siblings. Jyotsna Mahant earned an M. Sc degree from Motilal Vigyan Mahavidyalaya, Bhopal, and was involved in politics in her college. After education, she started social service to raise the issues of the local villages and women of the state.
