H. D. Kumaraswamy, Kannada film producer, Politician of Janta Dal, and son of the former prime minister of India Hon’ble Shri H D Deve Gowda is currently serving as the union minister in the Narendra Modi-led BJP government of India. Kumarswamy is active in Karnataka state politics with his father. He contested first time in the Direct Electoral election in 1996 from the Kanakapura Lok Sabha Constituency. He was born in Haradanahalli district in the family of former PM HD Deve Dowda in 1959.
