Gumma Thanuja Rani or Chetti Thanuja Rani, Doctor by profession and member of 18th Lok Sabha of the Parliament of India was born in 1993 in Paderu District in Andhra Pradesh. Gumma Thanuja Rani became the youngest Member of Parliament from the Araku Constituency in 2024 from Andra Pradesh. She was born and completed her schooling in his native place. She moved to Kyrgyzstan to complete her graduation in medicine from the International Higher School of Medicine, International University of Kyrgyzstan. After her marriage, she is also known as Chetti Thanuja Rani.

After graduation, she started practicing as a doctor and became a member of the YSR Congress Party. In the 2024 general election, she contested from the Alluri constituency as the candidate of the YSRCP Party. She contested and defeated the sitting MP of the Araku constituency Kothapalli Geetha of the Bharatiya Janata Party by a huge margin. Alluri constituency is known as the biggest constituency of the state with more than 14 lakh voters. Gumma Thanuja Rani won the election by 50thousand votes.
