Shri Gopal Jee Thakur, a renowned politician of Bihar serving his second term as a member of the parliament. Gopal Thakur was born in the Mathili Brahmin family of Ganesh Prasad Thakur and Ram Sagar Devi in 1969 in the small village of Parari. His father was a farmer and an active member of Janasangh. He was brought up by his mother with his four siblings. Gopal Jee Thakur completed his schooling and higher education in Darabhanga. He was active in student politics and joined the Bhartiya Janta Party as a member.
