Dr. Faiyaz Ahmad, an educationist, and politician from Bihar state is serving his first term as a member of the Rajya Sabha. He contested in the Rajya Sabha election 2022 as the candidate of the Rashtriya Janta Dal from the Bihar state seat. Faiyaz Ahmad has been active in Bihar state politics for a long time as a member of the Rashtriya Janta Dal. He was first elected as a member of the Bihar State Legislative Assembly in 2010.

Faiyaz was born into the simple family of Shri Md. Qamruzzama and Smt. Mushtaqeema Khatoon in Madhubani district of Bihar in 1963. He was brought up by his mother with siblings and completed his schooling in his hometown. Dr. Faiyaz Ahmad moved to Darbhanga and earned a BA, MA, and PhD in Sociology from L.N.M.U., Darbhanga. He is the founder of the Madhubani Medical College and Hospital.

After joining the Rajya Sabha he was appointed as a member of several parliamentary committees during his tenure. Dr. Faiyaz Ahmad lives in New Delhi at Swarn Jayanti Sadan Deluxe as a member of the Parliament.
