Dr. L. Murugan, former RSS Social Worker and politician from Tamilnadu State is currently serving as a member of the Rajya Sabha from the Madhya Pradesh state constituency. He contested in the Rajya Sabha elections in 2021 as the candidate of the Bhartiya Janta Party. Murugan is one of the senior leaders of the BJP Party in Kerala and Tamilnadu State. L. Murugan contested the Tamilnadu State Assembly election in 2011 and secured only 1100 votes in the election.
He was born in the family of the Shri Loganathan and Smt. Varathammal in 1977 in Konur city of Namakkal District. L. Murugan earned an LLB, and Ph. D in law degree from Madras University Chennai. Murugan entered the social service as a member of the RSS. He joined the Bhartiya Janta party and started strengthening the Party in Tamilnadu state. Dr. Murugan also served as the vice chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes, 2017-2020.
