Shri Devendra Gangadharrao Fadnavis is the 21st and current Chief Minister of Maharastra state of India. After his short term as the CM in 2019 for five days, he is going to be sworn in as the CM after the BJP got a huge mandate in the state assembly election 2024. Devendra Fadnavis was the star Campaigner of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the state assembly election and under his leadership party won the highest 132 seats. He served as the Deputy Chief Minister (Caretaker) of the State under the leadership of CM Eknath Sinde of the Maharashtra government from 2022 to 2024.

Devendra Fadnavis emerged in the Maharashtra state election after joining the BJP Party as a member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. He entered state politics as the candidate of the Local Body election of his native city Nagpur. He was sworn in as the Mayer of Nagpur City in 1999. He first contested in the state assembly election in 1999 and served as a member of the Legislative Assembly till 2014. Devendra Fadnavis was promoted as the Chief Minister of the Maharashtra state in 2014. Although the BJP-led NDA alliance secured a mandate in the state assembly election 2019, Udhav Thackrey parted from the alliance in 2019 and became the Chief Minister of the state forming the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance with Congress and Nationalist Congress Party.

Bharatiya Janata Party and political analysts have given him all the credit for winning the state assembly election 2024 with the highest number of seats. Devendra Fadnavis, himself elected as a member of the state assembly in the 2024 elections from Nagpur South West constituency defeated Prafulla Vinodrao Gudadhe combined candidate of INDI Alliance. He secured 1,29,401 votes (56.88%) with the winning Margin of Thirty-Nine thousand seven Hundred ten Votes. Devendra Fadnavis currently lives in Nagpur City with his family. He operates from the BJP political office in Nagpur and now will join the CM office in Mumbai at Malabar Hill, South Mumbai. Shri Devendra Fadnavis was the second youngest Chief Minister of the state at 44 years after Sharad Pawar.
