Deepak Adhikari ‘Dev’, Bengali actor turned politician is currently serving his third term as a member of the Parliament. He was introduced as the representative of the All India Trinamool Congress party from the Ghatal Lok Sabha constituency in the general election of 2024. Deepak Adhikari won his third election contest defeating the Bhartiya Janta Party candidate by a huge margin of votes. He is a known Bengali actor, Screenwriter, and producer.
Dev Adhikari was born into the family of Gurudash and Mausmi Adhikari in the small village of Mahisha in 1982. He finished his early schooling in his native and moved to Mumbai with his maternal uncle he graduated from Pune and joined the Bollywood movie industry for some time and returned to Kolkata. Shri Pradeep Adhikari started acting in the Bengali Movie industry and established his own production house by the name of Dev Enterprise. He joined the AITMC party in 2012.
