Daggubati Purandeswari, president of the Bharatiya Janata Party Andhra Pradesh state and member of Parliament MP of the 18th Lok Sabha was born in 1959 in Chennai city of Tamil Nadu. The daughter of Legendary South Indian film actor, producer, director & politician N. T. Rama Rao has finished her schooling and higher education in Chennai city and started her own Gemology college in Hyderabad. She moved to Hyderabad after getting married to Daggubati Venkateswara Rao.
She lives in Hyderabad and started her political career as a member of the Indian National Congress party. Daggubati Purandeswari first contested in the 15th Lok Sabha election as the candidate of the Indian National Congress party. Later she joined the Bhartiya Janta party and contested in the General election in 2014 as the candidate of BJP. She lost again and was promoted to the Mahila Morcha Prabhari for the State.
