He was born in Bhadsoda village of Chittorgarh district in Rajasthan to Late Shri Ramchandra Joshi and Sushila Devi. CP Joshi completed B.Com. & L.L.B. degree at Mohanlal Sukhadia University, Udaipur, Rajasthan.
