Shri Baburam Nishad is a well-known Indian politician, farmer & social worker from Uttar Pradesh. He is currently serving as the Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, elected in July 2022. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Baburam Nishan is one of the popular OBC leaders of the BJP. He was born on 15 August 1969 to a Nishad Community family of Ramsi Nishad and Sukhiya Devi in Distt. Hamirpur, Uttar Pradesh. He earned a B.A., and LL.B. degree at Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. Baburam is considered a grassroots leader of the Bundelkhand region. He worked in various positions in the party and government, from the government of former Chief Minister Kalyan Singh to the government of CM Yogi Adityanath.

Baburam Nishad started his political career as District President of Yuva Morcha in Hamirpur, Uttar Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party in 1992. Then, he served as the Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation (U.P.B.C.F.D.C.) from 2018 to 2022.  BJP made him State Vice President, of Uttar Pradesh in 2016. From 1999 to 2004, he worked as Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Fisheries Co-operative Federation Ltd., Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Subsequently, Shri Baburam Nishand held the various key positions of the BJP in Hamirpur, Uttar Pradesh.
