Shri Babu Singh Kushwaha is a popular Indian Politician from Uttar Pradesh. He has been a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha since June 2024. Bahu Singh won the 18th Lok Sabha Election from Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, as the candidate of the Samajwadi Party. He defeated the BJP candidate Kripashankar Singh with over 99,335 votes. He is also the chief of the Jan Adhikar Party.
Babu Singh was born in 1966 in Pakhrauli village, Tehsil Baberu of Banda district of Uttar Pradesh, to the farming family of Bhagwat Prasad Kushwaha and Mahadevi. He graduated in 1985 and started his life by putting a dump in Atarra. In April 1988, Bahusingh Kushwaha contacted the BSP founder, Kanshi Ram, and he called him to Delhi. Subsequently, he was promoted and sent to do organization work in the Lucknow office.

Shri Babu Singh Kushwaha became the District President of Banda in 1993. In 2003, he became the Minister of Panchayati Raj in the BSP government. He had been a member of BSP for 27 Years. Bahu Kushwaha also served as a Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council member from 2000 to 2012. He was also a former Family Welfare Minister in the Uttar Pradesh government under Mayawati. MP Bahu Singh served as the Cabinet Minister in the Government of Uttar Pradesh from 2002 to 2003 in the Mining & Geology Ministry and from 2007 to 2011 in the Family Welfare, Panchayati Raj, etc ministries. He was the second most powerful Member of BSP after Mayawati.
