Smt. Annpurna Devi is an Indian politician from Jharkhand. She is the Member of Parliament, who has been serving as the 5th Union Minister of Women & Child Development since June 2024. She was elected to the 18th Lok Sabha from Kodarma Lok Sabha Constituency, by defeating CPI(ML)L candidate, Vinod Kumar Singh with the majority of 3,77,014 votes. Annapurna is an active member of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
She was born to the Taraprasanna Mahto and Rewati Devi in Ajmeri, Dumka, Jharkhand on 02 February 1970. Annpurna Devi completed the graduate degree form at Ranchi University, Jharkhand. She started his political journey by joining the Rashtriya Janata Dal. Later, she joined the BJP. Her husband is also a popular politician and was elected twice as MLA in Bihar Legislative Assembly.

Annpurna Devi debuted his political journey by being elected as the MLA in the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly in 1998 on the seat of RJD. She served as a Member of the Jharkhand Legislative Assembly from 1998 to 2014 from Kodarma Constituency. During her tenure, she served as the Minister of State, Ministry of Mines and Geology, Government of Bihar (2000), and Cabinet Minister of Ministry of Irrigation, Women & Child Welfare, Registration, Government of Jharkhand from 2012 to 2014. In the 2019 General Elections, Annpurna Devi was nominated by the BJP as a candidate from Kodarma Lok Sabah. She won the election by a huge margin.
