Shri Ravindra Shukla also known as the “Ravi Kishan”, is an Indian politician, actor, film producer, and television personality. He is serving as a Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from Gorakhpur Lok Sabha Constituency. Ravi Kishan won the election by defeating the SP candidate, Kajal Nishad with a margin of 1,03,526 votes.

He was born on 17 July 1969 in Bombay, Maharashtra to Shyam Narayan Shukla and Jadavati Devi. Ravi Kishan graduated from Rizvi College, Mumbai with a B.Com. His film works are mostly in Bhojpuri and Hindi cinema, as well as Telugu cinema. He started politics by joining the Indian National Congress and contested the 2014 Lok Sabha Election. But, only secured 4.2% votes.

Ravindra Shukla resigned from INC and Joined the BJP in February 2017. Ravi Kishan was nominated for Gorakhpur during the 2019 General election by Bhartiya Janta Party. He won the election against the Samajwadi Party candidate. In 2024, he won the election as BJP candidate and became a second-time MP from Gorakhpur. In September 2024, Ravi Kishan was appointed as the Member of the Committee on Defence. He is currently living in New Delhi at his Parliamnetrial Residency.
