Shri Nilesh Narayan Rane, a young Indian politician from Maharashtra is serving his first term as a member of the Maharashtra state assembly. Nilesh Rane hails from the political family of Shri Narayan Rane, Ex-Chief Minister of Maharashtra. In the state assembly election 2024, he was contested as the candidate of Shiv Senafromthe m Kudal Assembly constituency. He won the election by defeating shri Sandesh Bhaskar Parkar of Shiv Sena (UBT) by a margin of fifty-eight thousand votes.

He started his politics as a member of the Indian National Congress Party with his father. Nilesh Rane contested the 2014 general election of Lok Sabha as the candidate of the Congress party and won the Sindhudurg/ Ratnagiri constituency. He was very active in his fort tenure as a Lok Sabha member. Later he joined the BJP Party and once again contested in 17 Lok Sabha general elections.
