Shri Jayant Rajaram Patil, a senior politician of Maharashtra state of India is currently serving as a member of the state legislative assembly. He contested in the state assembly election 2024 as the representative of the Nationalist Congress Party from the Islampur assembly constituency. Jayant Patil won the contest defeating Nishikant Bhosale Patil of NCP by the margin of more than thirteen thousand votes. He joined NCP-SP in 1999 after leaving the Indian National Congress party. Jayant’s Political Career started in 1999 as a member of the Maharashtra State Assembly.

He was born in the family of Veteran Congress Leader Shri Rajarambapu Patil and Kusumtai Patil in 1962. He was named Jayant for his father won his first assembly election in 1962. His father served as the cabinet minister in the Maharashtra state government. Jayant Patil completed his B. Tech from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute and New Jersey Institute of Technology, US to earn a master’s Degree.
