Shri Vishwajeet Patangrao Kadam, a young politician of the Indian National Congress Party from Maharashtra state will serve his third consecutive term as a Member of the Maharashtra State Assembly (MLA). Vishwajeet Kadam contested in the state assembly election from the Palus-Kadegaon constituency as the candidate of the Indian National Congress Party. His political career started in the state assembly election in 2018. He also served as the state cabinet minister in Udhav Thackeray-led Maharashtra Government from 2019 to 2022.

Dr. Vishwajeet Kadam was born in the political family of former Congress Leader Patangrao Kadam in 1980. He was brought up in Pune with his three siblings by his mother. After completing his higher education and PhD in Management he moved to the USA and earned a Management and Leadership degree in Education from Howard University. He is also serving as the secretary of Bharti Vidhyapeeth.

His father Patangrao died in 2018 while he was a member of the state assembly of Maharashtra. Indian National Congress party introduced Vishwajeet as the candidate in the Bi-poll Palus-Kadegaon constituency. This was his first electoral contest he joined the state assembly. He has also served as the Maharashtra Working Congress Committee President. His father established Bharti Vidyapeeth in the mid-sixties of the 20th century. MLA Vishwajeet Kadam is currently living in Pune with his family.
