Shri Suhas Babar or Suhas Anilbhau Babar is the winner of the 2024 state assembly election and going to serve as the representative of the Khanapur constituency of the state legislative assembly in the newly formed government of Maharashtra. He contested the election as the candidate of the Shiv Sena party and BJP-led NDA Alliance. Suhas Babar defeated his nearest rival Vaibhav Sadashiv Patil of the Nationalist Congress Party (SP) with a margin of more than seventy-eight thousand votes. He entered politics in the Local body election of his Gram Panchayat.
Suhas Babar was born in the family of Anilrao Babar in Khanapur town of Sangli District of the Maharashtra state in 1981. He earned his early schooling from his hometown and completed his B. Sc degree from Pune. He also earned an MBA degree before joining politics. His political journey started during the Zilla Parishad elections. Suhas Babar served as a member of the Sangli Zilla Parishad before contesting the assembly elections.
