Shri Narayan Das Ahirwar is well known Indian political, associated with the Samajwadi Party. He has been serving as a member of Lok Sabha since June 2024 representing Jalaun Lok Sabha Constituency. Ahirwar also served as minister in the Uttar Pradesh Government from 2007 to 2011. He is treated as one of the most senior and founding ministers of the Samajwadi Party.

Narayan Das started his political career in  1982, inspired by Kanshi Ram, and became a member of the Dalit Shoshit Samaj Sangharsh Samiti (DS4). Later, he became one of the founding members of the Bahujan Samaj Party in 1984. Ahirwar served as the chairperson of the BSP unit in the Orai constituency from  1992 and 2000. In 2002, Narayan Das Ahirwar became the district president of the party in Jalaun. He had a good performance in the state election of that year.

Ahirwar was moved out of the post of district president and made the party in charge of the Konch constituency in 2005. He was also the nominated minister of the Jal Nigam Board under the Government of Uttar Pradesh from 2007 to 2011. He was also made the zonal coordinator of the Bundelkhand division during this time. On the 26, of September, 2024, he was elected as the Member of the Committee on Water Resources.

Additionally, he was given the responsibility of the BSP state unit of Uttarakhand and was the charge of the Almora Assembly constituency in 2013. Shri Narayan Das Ahirwar also began aligning with the Samajwadi Party and helping strengthen it from 2014 to 2022. Finally, he formally left BSP and became a member of SP before the 2022 Uttar Pradesh election. In the 2024 General Election, he contested as the SP-INDIA alliance candidate for the Jalaun-Garautha-Bhognipur.
