Chhattisgarh state of India was separated in 2000 from Madhya Pradesh under the MP State Reorganization Act 2000. The state is located in the central region of India and is bordered by 7 different states of India. CG state assembly was led by the Indian National Congress Party in 2023. Shri Ajit Jogi was the first Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh after the separation. In 2024 the election commission organized the 7th assembly election in the state. Chhattisgarh state has a total of 33 districts and 91 Vidhan Sabha seats in the assembly election 2024.
