Young Indian Politician and current member of the lower house of the Parliament of India, Iqra Hasan was elected as the representative of Kairana Lok Sabha Constituency of Uttar Pradesh. She inherited politics from her father and uncle who served as the member of Parliament from the same constituency. Akhilesh Yadav first introduced her as the candidate of the Samajwadi Party in the general election of 2024. The result of the election was declared on the 4th of May 2024. Iqra Hasan joined the Parliament of India at the age of 30 years.

In her election campaign, she was loved by the voters of the Kairana constituency. Iqra Hasan or Iqra Chaudhary was born in August 1994 in the family of Chaudhary Munawwar Hasan. Her family belongs to Gujjar Muslims in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Iqra’s father was active in politics from an early age. Munawwar Hasan has served as a member of the Uttar Pradesh state assembly twice and again served as a member of the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha of the parliament.
