Shri Chandra Prakash Choudhary is a well-known Indian politician from Jharkhand. He has been serving as the Member of Lok Sabha from Giridih Lok Sabha constituency since 2019. Chandra Prakash was elected to the 18th Lok Sabha by defeating Jharkhand Mukti Morcha candidate Mathura Prasad Mahato with a margin of 80,880 votes. He is an active member of Jharkhand Student All Jharkhand Students Union.

He was born in Sandi Village, Ramgarh, Jharkhand to the Kurmi Community family of Rijhu Nath Choudhary and Kalawati Choudhary on 18 Aug 1967. Chandra Prakash completed his B.Com from Ramgarh Mahavidyalaya, Ramgarh, Jharkhand. His interest in politics was aroused in college. He also participated in student union elections. Shri Chandra Choudhary officially started his political journey by joining the All Jharkhand Students Union.

Chandra Prakash served as a minister in Raghubar Das’s ministry of the portfolio of Water Resources, Drinking Water & Sanitation in Jharkhand. He was continuously elected to the 17th & 18th Lok Sabha Elections from the same constituency.
