Shri Chandan Chauhan, a young politician of Uttar Pradesh is serving his first term as a member of the 18th Lok Sabha of the Parliament of India. He contested in the general election 2024 from Meerapur constituency as the candidate of Rashtriya Lok Dal/ INDIA candidate and won the seat for the INDIA alliance. He had earlier served as a member of the UP state Legislative assembly. Chandan Chauhan comes from the Gurjar community of Uttar Pradesh.

He was born in Muzaffarnagar in 1988. His father Shri Sanjay Chauhan was involved in the agriculture and politics of Uttar Pradesh and his mother, Smt Anuradha Chauhan is house maker. His grandfather Chaudhary Narayan Singh served as the Deputy CM of UP. Chandan Chauhan finished his schooling in Muzaffarnagar and completed his BA and Law degree from Meerut. He was involved in politics from a young age.
