Journalist-turned-politician Rajeev Shukla is a current Rajya Sabha Member of parliament from Chhattisgarh was born in 1959 in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He finished his schooling in Kanpur and finished his graduation from Christ Church College in Kanpur. He was a Multitallented person from a young age after graduation he studied at Vikramajit Singh Sanatan Dharma College, Kanpur. Rajeev Shukla also worked in theater with his friend Deepa Sharma before entering Politics.
He was the reporter for the renowned Newspaper Jansatta till he joined as a special correspondent of Ravivar Magazine. Rajeev Shukla was nominated as the Rajya Sabha candidate by Indian National Congress in 2000. After that, he is actively working in state politics for the Congress party. In 2003 he founded the Akhil Bharatiya Loktantrik Party and won the election with a huge margin of votes. Later the party was merged with the Congress.
