Neeraj Shekhar Indian politician and son of former Indian Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar was born in Ballia District, Uttar Pradesh state. He was born to the family of Congress Leader Shri Chandra Shekhar in 1968. In his political career, he contested various elections as a contestant of the Indian National Congress Party. Born in the Rajput family Neeraj Shekhar’s Mother Duja Devi was a homemaker. He completed his education at various schools and colleges of UP.
He joined the Bhartiya Janta Party after leaving Samajwadi Party in 2019. Neeraj Shekhar was a member of the Lok Sabha of the Indian parliament in 2007. He again contested from Ballia constituency but was defeated by Bharat Singh in 2014. Later, he became a Member of the Rajya Sabha as a BJP party candidate.
