Sulata Deo is an Indian politician elected as a member of the Rajya Sabha of the Parliament of India. She was contested as the candidate of Biju Janata dal from Odisha state in the Rajya Sabha elections 2022. Sulata Deo won the first parliamentarian election and joined the Upper House. In her political journey, she served as a member of the Odisha State Welfare Board. From 2009 to 2013. her political career started as a member of the Zila Parishad of Jaipur District of the Odisha state.

She was born to the family of Sumanta Kumar Jena in 1972 in Kusupr, Cuttack. Sulata Deo was brought up by her mother Shrimati Sanghamitra Jena. She completed his education at Utkal University, Bhubaneswar. Smt Sulata Deo was interested in politics from a young age and started participating in social and political events and contested in the Local Body election of her district.
