G.C. Chandrashekhar (Gangur Cheluvegowda Chandrashekhar), a current member of the Rajya Sabha was born in Mysore, Karnataka in 1963. He is the leader of the Indian National Congress party and represents the Karnataka Constituency of Rajya Sabha. He was currently serving as the President of the Karnataka State Congress Party.
