Dr. Sikander Kumar, former Voice Chancellor of Himachal Pradesh University and politician of Bhartiya Janta Party from Himachal Pradesh is serving as a member of the Rajya Sabha of the parliament of India. He was announced as the candidate of the BJP in the Rajya Sabha election in 2022. Sikander Kumar won the election and joined the Rajya Sabha team of PM Narendra Modi-led government of India.

He was born in Dagoh town of Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh in the family of Shri Raunfi Ram and Smt. Prabhi Devi. completed his schooling from his hometown and moved to Himachal University. Sikandar Kumar completed his MA in Economics. He earned an M. Phill and Ph. D. and cleared UGC-Net. Dr Shikandar was impressed by the Hindu ideology of the Bhartiya Janta Party.
