A famous Indian politician, Ajay Bhatt belongs to Uttarakhand and is serving as the Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha. He contested the 19th Lok Sabha Election representing the Nainital-Udhamsingh Nagar from the BJP Tickets. He was elected as a Member of Lok Sabah from the same constituency in the 17th & 18th Lok Sabha elections. In the 2024 Parliamentary Elections, Ajay won the Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar Lok Sabha seat in Uttarakhand, defeating Congress’ Prakash Joshi by 3,34,548 votes.

In the 2019 General Elections, Ajay Bhatt defeated former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand and Senior Indian National Congress leader Harish Rawat by a huge margin of 3,39,096 votes in the Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar constituency. He also served as the State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Uttarakhand from 2016 to 2020. He is one of the popular and senior politicians of  Uttrakhand.

Shri Ajay Bhatt served as the Minister of State for Tourism from 7 July 2021 to 11 June 2024 and Minister of State for Defence from 7 July 2021 to 11 June 2024.
